HRCI Recertification Credits
Good news! Our February, March, April and May programs have been approved for 1.0 (General) Recertification Credit Hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR designations through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
The June program has been approved for 1.0 (Strategic) Recertificiation Credit Hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR designations through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
Send an inquiry (with the registrants full name so we can verify attendance) to hra@hraoakbrook.org to obtain the Program ID for tracking purposes.
SHRM Foundation Scholarship Program
Application Deadline July 15, 2010
Calling all SHRM members (professional, general or associate) pursing a college degree or professional HR certification – applications are currently being accepted for the SHRM Foundation Scholarship program. This year there will be 20 education awards ($2,000 each) and 80 certification awards ($750 each) for a total of $100,000 given out in 100 awards. Members may apply online at: http://sapphire.shrm.org/Scholarships/Default.aspx
Note: SHRM student members are not eligible for this program. The student scholarship program will launch 5/1.SHRM Foundation Champion
We are pleased to share this good news with you: The SHRM Foundation’s 2009 Annual Campaign was a success. With your chapter’s strong financial support, the SHRM Foundation exceeded our fundraising goal (and the 2008 total) by $3,300 – raising $745,949!
Thanks to the generosity of chapters like yours (along with state councils, individuals, and corporate supporters), we have been able to maintain our high level of fundraising over the past couple of years, in spite of the economic trends. The funds we raise from our annual campaign are used for scholarship programs, academic research grants, and educational products that advance the HR profession. Thank you!
